The Weekend

WHERE

Camp Cody, Cody Road, Freedom, New Hampshire

WHEN

Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26, 2014
Wedding ceremony and reception, Sunday, May 25, 2014

WHY

Because we're getting married, of course! And shortly after we get married, we will be moving to Bangalore, India. We hope to spend one of our last weekends in the US with all of our family and friends!

We hope you'll join us for a plethora of activities throughout the weekend. Below is an outline of what the weekend will look like. We invite everyone to join us from Saturday to Monday.

Schedule of Events v4

Food and Drink

We will be catering all meals throughout the weekend, to be held at the camp. When you RSVP, please make sure to let us know which meals you will be attending.

We will also be catering all drinks during the wedding reception. If you would like to bring drinks for other times throughout the weekend, please feel free to bring your own wine and beer. Camp Cody does not allow liquor or hard alcohol on site.

What to Bring

Below are some suggestions for items to bring with you:

  • Bathing suit and towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Sporting equipment (such as soccer balls, footballs, frisbees, etc.)
  • Musical instruments for the talent show or campfire songs
  • Flag from the country you're coming from (to be hung on the flagpole)

What to Wear

Most of the weekend: Whatever you want
Ceremony and Reception: Jacket and tie / women's equivalent

How to Get Here

Closest airports to Camp Cody are:

  • Boston Logan International Airport (Boston, Massachusetts), 118 miles
  • Manchester Airport (Manchester, New Hampshire), 92 miles
  • Portsmouth Airport (Portsmouth, New Hampshire), 64 miles
  • Portland Airport (Portland, Maine), 50 miles

You can fly into one of these airports and rent a car.

Alternatively, there is a bus that runs once or twice a day from Boston Logan to West Ossipee (a 5 minute drive from Camp Cody; we can pick you up at the bus stop). The Logan-West Ossipee bus schedule is here. This is the winter schedule; there should be a summer schedule that starts around June and we're not sure if it'll apply to Memorial Day weekend yet. Holidays (ie- Monday May 26) are treated as weekend days. Note that the Friday/Sunday only buses will probably stay that way for the three-day weekend (as in, the Sunday only buses will stay on Sunday, and not move to Monday). If you plan on taking the bus, please let us know, as we can arrange for a group booking if there's enough interest.
